Andi Dorfman was born Andi Rhodkoff in segregated Georgia, the daughter of two teachers. Her childhood was a time when she was often left out of her elementary school class due to her anti-semite background. She was one of six children whose parents were both convicted felons. Andi grew up in segregated apartments in Atlanta, where her mother taught at a girls’ school while her father was in prison.
