Bukayo Saka became a professional athlete when he signed a two year contract with FC Barcelona in 2021. After two years he left to sign a five-year professional contract with AC Milan. In July 2021 Bukayo Saka joined Chelsea from AC Milan. He was immediately sold to Arsenal, where he was put in the right wing position. Bukayo Saka played three seasons for the Gunners and made eleven goals in sixty league games.
Bukayo Saka had to wait until the 2021/11 season for the start of the new season because of a transfer ban handed down by the governing body of the soccer league, the FIFA (Federation of International Football Associations) and due to the transfer ban England coach Capello wanted Bukayo Saka to start his national team career from the academy. Bukayo Saka declined the offer and instead chose to sign on with the Italian second division club Genoa. Bukayo Saka made thirty appearances for Genoa and won the promotion from the second division. This move left Saha considering other opportunities in the game. He joined Italian international side Bologna and in the summer 2021 completed a move to Besiktas of Turkey.
Bukayo Saka started in the third game of the season against Celtic and helped Bologna to a draw. During this game he made an impressive goal as he slid past two Celtic defenders and then hit a low shot past a goalkeeper who then tried to clear but could not. Bukayo then scored another equalizer in the next match against Zoryapor of Turkey. This was his first goal for his native Nigeria and marked his return to playing in the English top flight. Despite these bracelets Bukayo Saka has only made eleven appearances so far this season.
In January of the 2021/12 season Bukayo Saka moved to Vitesse as one of the signings made by Celtic. He played alongside former Scotland international John Roberts and impressed on both feet. Soon after this move Celtic began to struggle financially and as a result sold Saha to Turkish giants Besiktas. As per FIFA the former Nigeria forward is now free to play for any European league club.
Bukayo Saka has impressed at each of his three spells in Scotland and England and represents a good investment for any Scottish club looking to boost their football department. His contract at Besiktas will run out at the end of this season meaning he will probably be in demand once again next summer. However, having spent the last three years in Turkey, my view is that there is no chance that he will ever be sent back to Nigeria. Given his age (averaging just 17) and the amount of matches that he has played for uefa, I believe that he represents a much better investment than what Scottish clubs are currently offering.
