Danny Masterson was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and grew up on the streets of that same city. He learned to speak English at a very early age, but it did not take him long to find work performing stand-up comedy, which would take him to New York City and Los Angeles. Danny Masterson was accused of sexual assault stemming from an alleged sexual encounter with a woman in the Los Angeles area. According to the charges, which were eventually dropped, the woman admitted to having sex with Danny Masterson in the past. She is said to have consented to this act out of fear that she might be arrested for prostitution, after being caught with a police officer performing a sting operation in which she was caught with crack cocaine. Danny Masterson faces a maximum sentence of three years in prison if he is convicted of these charges. If he pleads guilty to the charges, he could be sentenced to as little as two years in state prison.
On October 8th, the Los Angeles Superior Court has ordered Danny Masterson to stand trial on charges of three women who claim that Danny Masterson raped them. The defense has requested that the case be tried in a court-martial, which would mean that a panel of officers from the Department of Defense are sworn in to preside over the case.
