Divock Origi was born in Belgian Congo, where he made his own name when he signed with Belgian club Antrels Basket before moving to Italy. He began his career as a professional football player in Italy but moved to France where he played for Vasaloppet in Ligue 1 for a spell. Divock Origi then played three seasons for Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon before moving to Italian second tier club Frosinone.
