Eid Al Adha celebrations are marked by numerous feasts in most of the rural regions of Ghana. Muslims gather in the mosques and community gatherings and eat a lot of food during Eid Al Adha celebrations. People generally gather for Eid Al Adha celebrations in the early hours and finish the night with dancing. In some of the towns and cities of Ghana, the celebrations are completed with burning of khatas or large quantity of incense.
The largest town of Ghana, Aba Town is one of the major destinations for Eid Al Adha celebrations. This town is located in the centre of the country and is one of the biggest commercial centers in Ghana. There are several hotels in the town and there are many Muslims who take part in the festivities. There are children who attend the celebrations with their parents and other family members. The number of guests at the Eid celebration is usually six or seven but at different times in the year.

Many tourists from the world visit this town on the occasions of Eid Al Adha. There are many sightseeing spots and tourist destinations in Aba Town that attract the tourists and travelers from around the globe. There are a number of places where one can eat traditional Ghanaian foods like injansu, tambola, soya dish, Ghanaian rice pithi and many more. The famous place in town where one can watch the huge firework display is the African Big Island. Many events like lion dance, snake dance, elephant parade, lion parade and other cultural shows are held at this celebration. The lion dance is the most important highlight of the day and is followed by other parades and celebrations all over town.
There are also a number of stalls set up in the street and people pay large amounts of money for the spices and animals. The local residents also throw fire and sell hot dogs and chicken to the visitors and tourists. The animals are then cooked and served to the people. Eid Al Adha in Ghana is a wonderful celebration and there is a lot of excitement and fun in the town during this time.
