The month of Ramadan falls on the ninth and final day of the Islamic month of Ramadan and during this period, Muslims all over the world fast from dawn to sunset. During this time they offer thanks to Allah for His blessings and ask him for forgiveness for whatever wrong they have done. It is a happy and sacred occasion marking the end of Ramadan and the start of the Islamic calendar of year 10 from the Islamic calendar. Eid Al Adha takes place in a large number of Muslim nations and features elaborate rituals. Eid Al Adha in Kuwait has a long tradition. This festival is observed even though Islam is practiced officially in the country. For centuries, it has been a symbol of brotherhood between Muslims all over the world. There are many stories as to how people came to celebrate the festival. Some of them have their roots in the early days of Islam when camels are used to carry meat to the house of the worshipers and then carry off the meat during the night.
