What does Happy Ramadan mean to you? For some, it is a time when they can spend time with their families and their extended community, especially during the Hajj (visit to Mecca). For others, it is a time when they get to go to the mosques (mosques have customs, rituals and etiquette; one who is not from the religion can not follow them), and pray.

One does not need to be religious to describe what he feels during Happy Ramadan. This period of the year has a positive impact on women all over the world. During this month, they are allowed to make du’a (pleasure) for Allah. They are also free to do physical activities like shopping, attending family gatherings, visiting friends, travelling, going to the malls and other places of worship. They are even allowed to get out of the house, though they should be dressed modestly.

During this time, they are also supposed to get themselves immunised and tested for diseases like measles, meningitis, diabetes, diphtheria etc. This is because the risk of getting diseases is high during this time. If one gets sick, they should go to the nearest hospital so that they can be treated quickly.

After having their immunisations, they can start preparing for their wedding or Eid. This usually involves spending a large part of their savings. However, if money is a problem, they can cut down on the number of meals taken in a day. A family’s budget will decide how many guests they invite.

After preparing for Eid, one can go back to their home to prepare for their wedding night. This could mean working late, cooking in front of the TV or using the microwave. While at home, they can also continue with their preparations for Eid. Once they are done with their housework, they can return to the place where they have been staying for the past few days. This is when they can finally relax and get ready for Happy menstruation.

The best way to ensure a happy period is to start planning for it at least six months before the due date. This is to allow enough time to the body to go through its monthly cycle without any disturbances. Also, it would allow for sufficient time to heal any sickness that might be present. Some people start preparing for their periods around two weeks before the period is due to begin. This way, they are able to both get the period they want and are still able to attend to any other obligations.
