Guo Liang, better known to the public as Yang Feng, is a Chinese American television personality and actor. Guo Liang’s parents are from Guo Liang town in the Anhui Province. Guo Liang was born and raised in America. He began to gain attention while attending college in California as a student of drama.
Guo Liang’s popular shows include: Kung Fu Panda, Looney Tunes, World of Warcraft, The Good Wife, Housefull with Frasier, The Mentalist, Saturday Night Live, Cheers, The X-Files among many others. Guo Liang received three star awards for the Kung Fu Panda movie. He also received two other star awards for his performances in Housefull with Frasier and The Mentalist.
Guo Liang has also been nominated for an abundance of awards including best variety show host at the MTV Movie Awards. At the 2023 MTV awards, Guo Liang was nominated for the same award as Ice Cube. At that time, Guo Liang’s career had gained momentum, and he was nominated for the same category again for his The Mentalist programme. Guo Liang then became the first Chinese American to be nominated for the Best Supporting Actor in a Leading Role category at the Oscars.

Guo Liang can be credited for coining the term “informed Guess” which was a popular pun when playing characters on TV. Guo Liang also appeared in a number of feature films such as Get Shorty, Romance, Dumb and Dumber and Awaken, Remember Me. In terms of the best performing actors and actresses at the 2023 Oscars, Guo Liang came in fourth place with a vote of only eight. Michael Caine, Warren Beatty, Marlon Brando and Al Pacino all performed at this year’s ceremony, which was won by The Godfather III. This was Guo Liang’s second Academy Awards win which he failed to bag in 2023. The fact that Guo Liang failed to win any of the top prizes at the Oscars is perhaps for not enough of a reason to nominate him for an Oscar!
