Imelda was one of five Indonesian actresses to receive a Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the feature film The Performer. Her performance earned her a second nomination for the same award at the 2023 Academy Awards. She continued to play important supporting roles throughout the rest of her film career, including a number of well-received films in Hollywood. Imelda is best known for her role as Mommy in the movie The Performer. Other films that contain Imelda’s name include Apartment Therapy, The Devil’s Advocate, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Furthermore, Imelda was also a nominee for the Screenplay Academy Award for Best Screenplay in 2023 for her movie, The Witch.
