Marcus Chin is a multi-hyphened entertainer, Singaporean singer and actor. At the age of five, he was already practicing gymnastics, playing the harmonica in his family’s band, and by the fourth grade, already had a deep interest in acting. Later on, he went to drama school. His early training would prove quite useful to him later on as he honed his craft in both the field of theater and also acting. His family then encouraged him to take up modeling in his early years. His early roles in plays such as The Ringer, On the Coat and Swing Vote earned him spots on the Singapore television series, Next Generation – On Heroes, before landing his first role in the ever-popular M.A.S.H TV series, Anger Management.
Marcus Chin’s first major role came in the popular song, I’m Really Cool. His role in that show was critical to the success of the American version, Cool Baby. His performance became quite popular, especially in the United States, giving Marcus Chin the kind of fame that many Asian actors were experiencing at that time. In the movie, he played Dr. Linus who was an addict to alcohol. Marcus Chin has since gone on to star in a number of successful films, plays and television shows.
Marcus Chin’s second film that he starred in was the acclaimed Kung Mangai. It featured Michael Jackson and was very successful at the box office. Marcus Chin’s daughter, Jazzy, is now an actress in her own right. Aside from his son Jazzy, there are other children of Marcus Chin who have also been able to star in their own respective films. They include Lovely Nwana, Lamda Mocha and Zefira Saleh. Marcus Chin’s son Zefira was also in another movie that starred his son, Jazzy. That movie was called The Mask.
Marcus Chin has also appeared in some documentaries and TV series. One of those is the reality show Survivor. The show brought him into direct competition with fellow South African contestant Magali Bundie. The two lasted until the end of the show’s third season, and Marcus Chin emerged the winner. His appearance earned him a second chance on the show, and he went on to win his first ever series crown.

Marcus Chin also had some small roles in movies and TV programs, most notably an episode of Star Trek: The Original Series. The TOS episode was “Space Seed”. He also appeared in some episodes of Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. He later appeared in the movie’s Captain America and Ant-Man.
Marcus Chin is currently married to actress Diana Savoia. Together they have two children. He is also one half of the successful production company Chinz, which is owned by Participant Media. Chinz produces movies, series, commercials and animation.
