Mousa Dembl is a French international football player who currently plays as a forward for Spanish top-flight club Levante. The 30-year-old Frenchman began his career at French side FC Barcelona but moved to permanently when he joined Levante in 2021 and has gone on to score over 100 goals in the top tier of Spanish football. Mousa Dembl grew up in Lyon and became a tennis star while still a young boy. He was a regular at the local tennis academy and impressed the French national coach John Kuckier. He was named the best player in the academy in his first ever season. He also made his senior debut in the European opener against England. Kuckier believed that Dembl was tailor made for the game and would go on to play for Saint Etreux and then Leeds United.
Eventually he moved to Paris and played for the Parc des Franchises while also playing for RC Strasbourg in the French second division. After spells at RC Auxerre and Cannes he signed for AS Monaco, where he helped them to become European champions in consecutive seasons. Then in 2021 he moved to Milan and helped them win the treble in what was then known as the Treble Winners’ Cup. He went onto play for Lens in the Italian league and then Vitoria Guimera in Portugal. He returned to France in the summer of 2021 and joined Besiktas in the Turkish top flight.
