Ouyang Nana, also known as Ouyang Shen is a Chinese actress and singer best known for the role she played in the cyber crime action movie, Bleeding Steel and her coming of age drama movie, Secret Fruit. Born in 1978 in Kaifeng city of Anhui Province in China, Ouyang Nana has also acted in other Chinese shows and movies such as the late 1980s spy drama Romance Heart, which was one of two box office hits in China that year. Ouyang Nana’s career spanned not just the late 1980s but the early 1990s too when she was cast in various TV shows and films, including the popular M CCTV series, which was very popular in China at the time. Ouyang Nana later went onto have a successful career in Hollywood where she appeared in such movies as Street fighter, Crouching Tiger, Kung Fu Panda and Mulan, to name a few. She also had a number of Chinese acting awards including the Best Female award at the 2000 Beijing Film Festival.
Ouyang Nana’s first major role came in the hit television show, Kung Fu Panda. Ouyang Nana asosa played the character of Pai Mu Feng, a young and beautiful female martial arts expert who was the love interest of the hero, Bamboo Po. She was a main cast member of the animated series until it was cancelled after its second season. The same year she also appeared in the movie remake of Mulan, which again lasted for a number of seasons.
Ouyang Nana was also one of the many popular Chinese singers that came from the generation of the late 1970s. She had a number of hits, most notably her song New Year’s Ballad, which went on to become a number one hit in Taiwan. Ouyang Nana has also had some small roles in movies such as Romance, Good Night, Lovely Ladies and Crazy Heart. At the time of her death, she was listed as the number four most popular singer of all time in Taiwan. This makes her one of the many famous Chinese actresses, along with Hong Kong actress, Jackie Chan, and Japanese actress, Yuichiro Nagashima, who were known for Samurai Bride and Tetsutto, amongst others.

Ouyang Nana was born in 1978, the year the Chinese communist government announced that it was expanding the economy and would adopt open currency. This made the economy expand, thus giving birth to a new generation of powerful leaders. Ouyang Nana’s dream was to become one of these leaders, and to perform in an all-out sing-along in front of all her friends and family. However, when the economic growth was halted, inflation set in, and wages were cut. Ouyang Nana then took a break from singing to attend a friend’s funeral, where she was able to hear about the existence of the “open secret fruit” which all singers had been waiting for, called the Lilies of the valley.
Ouyang Nana’s friend had found a mysterious and powerful substance inside of a Lily pad, which caused a massive change in her body, and allowed her to transform into an unstoppable force of destruction. Ouyang Nana went on to perform amazing acts of heroism throughout her life, and became the strongest fighter alive, known as the Bleeding Steel (literal translated to Steel Breast). However, one day, while performing at a concert, she suffered a massive heart attack, which left her confined to the stage for the rest of her days.

In fact, her fans were quick to start commenting on her Instagram, expressing their love for the deceased singer. Ouyang Nana was not only a strong fighter, but also was a very beautiful actress, who enjoyed a long career on screen. She appeared in films such as “Xu Xian Bing” which was made in 1998 and more recently in “Mu Lan” which was released in 2015. The news of her death shocked the Chinese people, as it was not entirely unexpected, as her fans were calling for it.
