Rakul Preet Singh has four films in her name, the first two being “Singh sa menta nam” and “Bharat” released in 1998 and 1999 respectively. Since then, she has mostly worked in Indian cinema, particularly in Hindi and Telugu films. She was nominated for the best actress award at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival for her role as Satya in “Singh sa menta nam”. She later won the same award for the same role in the same movie in 1998 in “Bharat”.
Another lesser known role of Rakul Preet Singh, which did not get rewarded properly was in the Hindi film “Chak De! India”, in which she played the role of inspector Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s assistant.
