Tyler Van Beveren was born and raised in Southern California. He grew up in a rather small town in the foothills of the San Fernando Valley. The area was a center for the motion picture and television industry during the 1940s and 1950s. Many of our country’s top movies were shot here.
Tyler Van Beveren made a name for himself in this field after he went to college and studied art. It was at this time that he discovered stand up comedy. He made a number of short films and performed at various colleges in the United States. He then decided to turn into a comedian instead of continuing with the film industry. It is his versatility as a comedian that has allowed him to branch out into different areas of stand up comedy.
Tyler Van Beveren began working with HBO as an intern when he was just 18 years old. He was tapped to be one of the leads in the hit film “Catching Fire”. It was an incredible role and he went on to play many other amazing characters in the series including Fagin, an insurance salesman, a drunk who travels across the country, a Native American warrior and a CIA agent.
Tyler Van Beveren also appeared in the films “Endeavor”, “Blue Springs” and “John Krasinski’s Brainchild”. The late Christopher Reeve was another great actor of Tyler Van Beveren’s that worked with him on a number of different projects including “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”. Tyler Van Beveren has also been nominated three times for an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. This is just a small sampling of his incredible career.

Tyler Van Beveren has gone on to star in several more movies including “Beetlejuice” and “Charmed” but he returns to his roots with the hilarious live action role of Fagin in the new movie “Singles. Van Beveren currently plays a recurring character in the webseries” Tyler Van Beveren’s Vanishing Prey” on Hulu. He will next appear in the fifth season of FX’s “The Strain” as a guest star.
