William Levy is an American actor. William has also served as a fashion designer. William has most notably worked in a number of films, including The Single Mom’s Club and Addicted. His other credits include Masters of American Family, Welcome back Kotter, and Everybody Loves Raymond. Levy has also been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, for his role as David Kleinfeld in Everybody Loves Raymond.
William Levy was born in segregated Mississippi in segregated America. He grew up in segregated schools and did not attend the white school until grade school. Because of the violence in his home and the lack of exposure to Western movies and TV programs, William’s interest in these types of programs and movies was sparked. He would later pursue acting full time, after getting cast in his first professional acting role in The Single Mom’s Club. William studied business at the University of San Diego, where he majored in finance. He graduated in 1974 and went on to work for McKinsey & Company in San Diego, California.
