Braille Day is celebrated all over the world. January 4, 2023, will be celebrated this Holiday. Braille is a tactile representation of numeric and alphabetic symbols using six dots, it represents the letters and the numbers. Braille Day was named the name of the inventor in the 19th century. He was French and his name is Louise Braille.

Braille means the communication between the blinds and sighted peoples. Using this braille literacy, blind peoples can also learn and read books. There are a lot of books that are written in the braille alphanumeric system. We celebrate it to remember Louise Braille. It’s his birthday.

When is World Braille Day in 2023?

World Braille Day was first celebrated on January 4, 2019. Every year it will be celebrated on January 4. So, in 2023, World Brille Day is going to be celebrated on the 4th of January 2023 World Braille Day is celebrated to remember the importance of independent blind peoples around the world.

History

Louise Braille invented the Braille literacy. He was born in 1809 in France and he became blind. When he was 15 years old, he created a reading and writing system. He died in 1852, then France’s Royal Institute for Blind Youth started using the Braille curriculum. In 1916, all schools in the US started to teach braille to blind students.
